Thornton Acoustics & Vibrations invests in a state of the art suite of instrumentation, software and equipment. This approach was developed in the 1970s when our firm invested in the then nascent sound intensity technology and proved that a high tech approach actually allowed us to be far more efficient and cost-effective. Rather than using the "shot gun" approach to testing and measurements (take enough data and hope that some pattern emerges)we knew that highly focused testing guided by our knowledge and technical insights allowed us to use technology to quickly assess and dissect our clients noise and vibration problems and to gain insights that guided our solutions. We continue to embrace this approach and we integrate new technology, as it emerges, when it will benefit our clients.
